Karlsruhe University of Education
As a university specialising in educational sciences with the right to award doctorates and habilitations, we conduct research and teach on educational processes both within and outside the school setting. Our distinctive profile is shaped by our focus on education in a democratic society, educational processes in the digital world, and STEM within a culture of sustainability. Around 220 academic staff support approximately 3,500 students.
The range of courses includes teacher training programmes for primary and lower secondary education, as well as Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes for other fields of education. The part-time continuing professional development programmes are characterised by their close links to research and practice. And through the Karlsruhe School of Education (KSE), we are strengthening forward-looking collaborations in teacher training.
