Research
Research into curricular innovation is the defining feature of chemistry education in Karlsruhe. The aim is to develop innovative content for chemistry lessons at lower and upper secondary levels through experimental and conceptual approaches. In doing so, the respective context is broken down into its constituent parts, simplified in accordance with principles of subject didactics, and transformed into concrete, motivating problems, on the basis of which the content can be explored experimentally in chemistry lessons. A key principle is the integration of new content with the requirements of existing core curricula.
