Department of Philosophy

at the Faculty of Humanities

What is philosophy? What are we actually doing when we philosophise? Such questions, however trivial they may sound, are anything but easy to answer. They cannot be clarified in a uniform or definitive manner. To set out in search of an answer to such questions is in itself an act of philosophising – an act of self-reflection on one’s own actions (and thoughts), of questioning what is taken for granted, and of becoming aware of the tools of reason and the roots of knowledge.
